A Tour of Clark's Room

Finally, 3 months after his room was finished I got in there and snapped some pics!  I just love Clark's room so much.  We all do!  It all started with the inspiration of this lampshade that we scored from Pottery Barn Kids for only $9.99 on Clearance.  I loved that is it was strong and masculine, yet still appropriate for a baby.  The only catch was the rest of the bedding and curtains to match were discontinued 2 years ago.

Worry no more though, eBay to the rescue!  I was able to find the curtains and the bedding all BRAND NEW and never used.  It took some time, but piece by piece it all came together and tied in wonderfully with the vintage airplane theme we chose.

The globe on top of the bookcase was given to us for Christmas by my parents.  It used to belong to my PaPa.  I remember looking at it as a child and it works perfectly in Clark's room.

That is my copy of Goodnight Moon.  You can tell it was very well loves since the spine of the book is starting to come unthreaded.

An ode to Kevin's childhood...these are his toy cars, his first pairs of shoes and his GI Joe Tin Lunch box.  I am so thankful him mom saved all these.  It adds the perfect touch to Clark's room.

These letters and book were given to Clark from Lita (Kevin's mom).  I just adore them!

1 Sweet Thoughts:

lots of love said...

LOVE his room!! I love the initials above his crib and that you have toys from your husband's childhood as decor too. I'm definitely keeping things my girls have loved in hopes they have a girl to pass it down to.
