Father's Day Weekend with Lita

Father's Day weekend was so much fun this year.  I feel so blessed that we got to spend it with so much of our family.  Kevin's mom came to visit and gave Claire a very special baby doll.  It is amazing how much it really looks like her.  It is the American Girl bitty baby.  Thank you Lita!  Claire is in LOVE with it and it goes everywhere she does.

We had a jam packed weekend with lots of fun, but Father's day was really nice and relaxing.  Lita took some videos of Claire, my dad played and played with Claire until she was all worn out and she had fun snuggling and resting with her Dada in the midst of all of her toys!

The most entertaining gift of Father's Day had to be Kevin's remote control helicopter!  This was only $20, but it might just be the best $20 ever spent!  Everyone was having so much fun with it!  Claire loved watching it and trying to catch it.

We had salad, homemade lasagna and fresh garlic bread for dinner followed up with homemade chocolate chip cookies, brownies, pecan pie and ice cream.  After indulging in all the delicious food we enjoyed talking about some of our favorite family vacation memories together.  We had lots of good laughs and it warmed my heart to have so much family in our home making special memories together.

All in all, it was the perfect time together as a family, we just missed Grandpa Wilson, but he was in Houston taking care of our nephew Austin.  I am very thankful to be blessed with such great set of parents, in-laws, husband and daughter.  Claire sure is lucky to grow up with such a wonderful dad, Opa & Grandpa in her life!
