A LOT has happened....

Where on earth do I begin????  There is so much to tell you!  Let's begin with these pictures.  Can you guess what might be happening here?  Why would I have so much teaching stuff taking over Font sizeour guest bedroom and garage????

Have you figured it out yet?

Yup, you're right...I resigned from my teaching job
so that I could follow my heart and make a dream come true to work with my husband in his new chiropractic practice opening this fall!!!

After much prayer, discussion and consideration we truly believe that this is what we are meant to do.  With the current state of the economy we were hesitant for me to leave a great, secure, salary paying job...however I could feel God asking me to TRUST him and take this huge leap of FAITH.  I am so excited, happy, nervous and scared all at the same time!

I will be working as the office manager in Kevin's practice! So I will be on the front end of things...greeting patients, scheduling appointments, filing insurance claims, marketing, etc!  I am so excited for us to work together!  It going to be a lot of fun and a lot of work too!  No matter what happens, whether we succeed or we fail we are in this together!  Better to have tried than to have not tried and always wondered what could have been!

I am very sad to leave teaching and there is a lot I will miss about it (that is a whole 'nother post!)  But I am so excited about this opportunity.

We did not make this decision until FOUR days ago.  So I had a lot to do in a very short time!  I had to resign from my school, go through EVERYTHING in my room (which was enough to fill a 14 foot UHAUL-literally!) decide what to sell and what to keep, price it all, pack some stuff to take home and finish the year with my kiddos!

So I managed to sort through it all and I had a big garage sale in my classroom today!

I can't believe how much stuff I had! It was insane!  I think I did really good!  I got rid of about 95% of what I had!

We fit everything in both of our cars and here I am completely exhausted and hot as we were about to take it all home.

This was my room BEFORE...

It has been an amazing four years of teaching and I have loved this class more than words can say.  I kept just enough to set up a classroom with the BARE minimum if I ever go back to teaching again and even that seems like a ton of stuff when it is inside our house! LOL I have a major organization project this summer! :)

As one of the teacher's at my school told me,
"You can not live in faith and fear at the same time.  You must choose one."

My friend Shelly shared this with me yesterday,
"Faith looks across the storm—it does not doubt Or stop to look at clouds and things without. Faith does not question why when all His ways Are hard to understand, but trusts and prays."

While I am somewhat sad to say goodbye to this chapter of my life, I am very excited to see what the future will bring!

Oh wow, Kelly! This is such exciting news for you two! I'm sure this has been a very big decision to make but I believe that the Lord will honor your walking by faith and not by sight. He will be faithful to provide. I pray that He blesses the practice abundantly!
