WOO-HOO-Birthday-Austin-Family-Fun!!!

What a FUN weekend!  We headed to Austin to celebrate Kevin's 26th Birthday this weekend!  We spent Saturday night at the AWESOME Hotel San Jose on South Congress in downtown Austin!  Kevin saw it on a travel show years ago and has wanted to go ever since! It was totally us!  We LOVED it!  Very hip, modern and simple!  Check out some pics of the hotel and our room below.  The rooms are like bungalows so you feel liked you are tucked away in some sort of tropical paradise!

Saturday night we had dinner at Austin's famous Home Slice Pizza and then headed to Esther's Follies for a night of hilarious comedy and side splitting laughter!  It was so great!  Everyone who visits Austin should definitely go there! :)

The next day we took a walk to 1st Street where we passed this very "Austin-ish" coffee house also known as the caffeine dealer!  We ate breakfast at Izzoz Tacos and yes it is in a trailer which is apparently the new craze in downtown Austin!  They have unique trailers for EVERY kind of food!  "Keep Austin Weird!"

Then it was time to go and visit family! Kevin's parents were so excited he was "home" for his birthday!  His mom went all out with the decorations and the cooking!   We had a great time swimming, eating, swimming and eating!! hahaha!

The pool was so much fun!  We decided we definitely want to have our own pool someday!  It was a great way to beat the heat!
Even though my parents were in the middle of moving this weekend, they took a break to come and celebrate with us!

Kevin had a very special birthday cake from the Cheesecake Factory!  I love the expression on his face as him mom lights the candles! haha!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABE!

Kevin's stepdad LOVES to golf and TODAY his VERY OWN golf cart was delivered to their house! Since he wasn't home, Kevin and I gave it a test drive to make sure it worked...it did and it was SO MUCH FUN!!!

We truly had the best weekend!  Everything went great and we enjoyed our time together and made lots of special memories with our family!  It was a great way to end the school year, celebrate Kevin's 26th Birthday and begin a new chapter in our life!
