It seems like I have never been very good at waiting, and for that very reason I believe that the Lord helps me to grow by teaching me how to wait. Sometimes it seems like we are always waiting for something over and over again. However, in time we are always blessed with what we were waiting for and it is usually even more than we could have expected.
After all, we did have an 18 month long engagement and marriage has been absolutely wonderful! We waited seven years for Kevin to complete all of his schooling to be become a chiropractor and he is really excited about it! We lived in apartments for five years as we waited to buy our first home and we couldn't be happier with it. So, I know that everything is worth the wait, however it is still hard for me! You would think I would be a pro at it by now! :)
Lately, I have been consumed by the feeling of waiting.
- We are waiting for Kevin to take his final board exam and praying that he passes.
- We are waiting for the economy to get better so he can get his small business loan!
- We are waiting to see if a health concern gets better for me in the next 6-8 weeks or so.
- And of course, we are waiting to start a family.
- I am waiting for the day that I can hopefully be a stay at home Mommy!! I would LOVE that so much!
- We are waiting for Kevin's practice to be up and running!
I am so excited for everything that lies ahead of us! We have faith and we know that in God's perfect timing, it WILL all happen. Until then, we are focusing on all the things we are grateful for and all the things that are going great. I hope this post doesn't seem like a downer. We are really happy, there are just a lot of things coming up that we are eager to see happen! :)
We are all waiting for something. I heard this song on another person's blog and it has become my new theme song! It was just what I needed to hear and since I know that many of you are waiting for one thing or another, I wanted to share it with you and let you know that I am praying for you.
