All of the recipes are vegan recipes, but can easily be prepared for anyone whether they are vegan or not!
Part of the Hallelujah Diet is to eat about 85% of your food raw. Raw fruits and vegetable are packed full of healthy nutrients that get lost when they are cooked or steamed. This cookbook has lots of healthy recipes using raw fruits and vegetables!
Just as an update, Kevin and I have both lost 5 pounds since we started the diet on Monday! We both experienced some detox symptoms as our bodies released toxins. I read somewhere that your body sends signals to your brain trying to tell you that you need the sugar, caffeine, etc. When you don't cave in to the cravings it is normal to experience headaches and exhaustion. We did not cave in! It has been hard, especially today since I am home and not nearly as busy as I am during the week! But, it is worth it. I am already starting to feel better and more energetic! We'll update again and let you know how we're doing! :)
