If you know me, then you know what a planner I am. I seriously plan wayyyyy toooo much! Everything is always all planned out and when things don't go according to plan, I admit that I do get a little freaked out.
Well, it's no secret that things have not been going according to our plans as far as Kevin's business loan. This economy situation is way out of our control and I have been saying that I know everything ALWAYS happens for a reason and that when the Lord closes a door he ALWAYS opens a window.
Well...the good news is that I think the window is starting to open, just a little bit. Yesterday Kevin's business partner called and told him that he and his wife have decided that he is going to do an associateship (working under another chiropractor). At first I was shocked by this news, after all...it is different than the plan we have had for almost 2 years now. I worried and fretted over all the obvious things, but then I realized, this is all part of God's plan. I had a feeling His plan was going to be different from mine, and I am so grateful for that because I realize that the Lord knows exactly where He wants us to be and what He wants us to be doing.
So now we are starting all over again. Kevin will be looking for a smaller space for just 1 doctor, rather than 2, creating a new business plan and going back out to apply for loans again with all new numbers. There are lots of decisions to be made and plans to make, however right now he is focused on getting through his last and final national board exam! The reviews begin this weekend and he will be studying all the way until November 16th! Once boards are over he will shift his focus back to the practice. I am excited and nervous to see what else the future has in store for us. What a wild ride, but it's all worth it! :)

1 Sweet Thoughts:
Hang in there Kelly. I know how hard it is to let go of your plans and realize someone else has a better plan for you. I often say I wish I could see glimpses of the future so I won't worry about things. It's a daily struggle but I think it might be getting easier. God has great plans for you and Kevin. I know God is using you in the classroom every day to make a difference in the lives of many children!
