February Catch Up {Everyday Life}

My blogging days are numbered lately.  Everyday starts bright and early at 7am and goes non-stop until about 9pm when the kids are in bed, the dishes are clean and the kitchen is somewhat put together for the next day to begin.  By that point I've been going constantly for 14 hours and I just can't muster up the energy to sit at the computer. Instead, I want to spend time with Kev and watch a show....which I undoubtably will fall asleep about 20 minutes into the show, haha!  He constantly says, "Are you awake still?"  To which I will always reply, "Yes, yes...I am awake"...even if I'm pretty sure I'm totally drifting off.  These days are full and busy and they are some of my favorite days of my entire life.  My heart is going to break when Claire starts school and I don't have her home with me and Clark all the time...yes, yes, that is still 2 years away, (I do realize that) but I've only had her for 3 years and that has flown by, so it's hard to think the next 2 won't feel the same.  But enough about that...here's a HUGE picture post of February memories!

We started off the month with Claire's THREE year check up!

She got a great check up and appears to be in perfect health!!

Height: 37 3/4 inches (69%)

Weight: 30 pounds (38%)

After her check up we went out for frozen yogurt...which she LOVED!  Last year we had a day at the mall and ate pizza!  See her two year check up HERE!

Sweet Clark...such a gentle soul!  You will often see him like this.  He sure is a thumb sucker if I have ever seen one!

Often times at dinner, it's been a LONG day and meltdowns are inevitable.  Our sweet Claire can often show her "tired side" smack in the middle of our family dinner!  I laugh looking at this, but it's not so funny in person...just keepin it real here!

Clark seems to be totally amused by us at dinner and smiles away at all the antics of our family!  Dinners have been filled with laughter, lots of me constantly getting up and down and never seeming to sit still long enough for one bite, Claire telling us she's all done when she's only had one bite and intentions of good conversation about each other's days, but mostly just a lot of me getting up and down over and over again while trying to feed Clark, myself and, oh did I mention Claire wants me to feed her too now!  It's a busy time, but a FUN time, filled with joy and love as we gather together after a long day.

Clarks LOVES to suck on limes!  Seriously- he thinks it the best thing ever!  It's very entertaining to see the faces he makes!

Claire worked hard to make Valentine's cards for all the students in her preschool class.  She chose The Little Mermaid Valentine's, of course!

Clark learned how to pull up and look out the window and I LOVE to see him standing there.  Claire loved those windows too at his age.  

He LOVES to play in the curtains and be silly!  He is so easily entertained!

Don't worry... YES, he can breathe!  I PROMISE!  The curtains are sheer and I don't leave his side while he plays there! ;)  Plus, he is in constant motion, always spinning in a circle and chasing the curtain around...it's adorable!

Valentine's Day was fun!  I have more pics on my camera that need to be downloaded of our actual day together, but here's a few from our LensBaby playgroup!

These two are really bonding.  Although there are times I have to remind Claire to be gentle, the good times are definitely outweighing the "challenging" times these days. Clark is absolutely in love with Claire!

He wants to be by her all the time and is always interested in everything she is doing!

She's thrilled about her big girl bed! We love it too!  It makes reading bedtime stories much more cozy for everyone.  I can't tell you how many nights Kevin has fallen asleep with her.  It is one of the sweetest things to walk in there and see them together and hear their sweet little sleeping deep breaths.  

Claire had rodeo day at school, which was a real blast!

Clark cracks me up with his sippy cup!  He completely tilts his head ALL the way back to drink from it.  This child is hilarious!

Claire and Opa at a last minute dinner with my parents on one of those nights that Kevin was sick and I just had to get out!  So glad they could meet us!  Obviously, we had a great time!

Mr. Clark has learned how to be super sneaky and Claire had to tell me to pull over to get 6 tissues out of his carseat that he was somehow able to reach and put in his mouth!  Unbelievable!

Kevin's Valentine's gift was deep dish pizzas from Chicago!  They were sent on dry ice!

Our playgroup had a Valentine's party for the kids with heart shaped PB&J sandwiches, pink punch, crafts and a Valentine's exchange.  Claire loved borrowing the Minnie Mouse outfit and wouldn't you know we have added that to our dress up collection now too...which is totally out of control by the way, but she LOVES it and is dressed up as something ALL.  THE.  TIME!!!  It makes my heart happy, very happy!

This is what happens when Claire tells me she needs a flashlight to go look for something in her room.  Well...she was looking for her pink tutu.  It wasn't in her dresser.  It was in the dress up station...which as I mentioned is out of control, so that is probably why she couldn't find it, LOL!  I was shocked to walk in her room and find this!  I had no idea what I was walking into...everything had to be resorted by season and size and folded and put away!  WOW!

Claire built a tower for Clark and then got her camera to take a picture of him knocking it down.  She was so excited to have her camera ready...hmmmm, wonder where she gets that from???

There are even more pics still on my camera from February, but that's all for tonight!!!  It's been a full month.  I'm so grateful for these days with my babies.  They are flying by and I am constantly reminded of how much they mean to me and how long I've waited to be doing this....exactly this.
