Last Friday, Claire had her 2 year check up with her Pediatrician! As you can see, she was super excited!
Here she is trying to show me she is 2 years old. Holding up just 2 fingers is hard to do!
Waiting and waiting...
Finally it was our turn! Claire loved having Dr. Bain listen to her heartbeat!
She got a SUPER-DUPER report--as healthy as can be! (Such a blessing!) After the time Dr. Bain spent with us she told me that Claire has developed the vocabulary of a 3 year old and that all those words should make the "two's" much easier since she will be able to communicate with us and tell us what she wants! YAY! That is great news for everyone! I knew she was a talker...there is no end to this girl's vocabulary. She is always walking around speaking in complete sentences and singing songs!
To celebrate a great check up and the fact that Claire was finally getting over a cold that kept her from feeling her best on her actual birthday I decided we needed a morning of celebration!
Off to the mall we went for some mother-daughter time! Claire had a blast on the carousel!
She told me she chose "Cinderella's horse"...well, of course! :)
Claire and Mama!
On her actual birthday she asked me for a "Pizza Party"....so a pizza party it was for the two of us at Claire's absolute favorite pizza restaurant, The California Pizza Kitchen! She was thrilled to get a big girl cup with a straw and drink lemon water in it..."just like mommy"!
Coloring!
"Pizza's HERE!!" Look at that face- it cracks me up!
Followed with blowing a kiss to the waitress...oh my goodness...is she really only 2????
Someone is having the time of her life!
SO proud to be using a straw at a restaurant...this girl drank sooooo much water!
SURPRISE!!
The sweetest waitress ever didn't want this celebration to go unnoticed!! She made it official with a complimentary Birthday Ice Cream Sundae!!
Claire was mesmerized!
I would love to know her exact thoughts here...
She blew out the candle all by herself!
"What's this Mommy?" she asked as she pulled the cherry off the top!
The first of many bites...
The collages will show you just how much Claire LOVED her special treat! She was cracking me up with the way she was eating with the spoon and after about 5 bites I could tell the sugar was already kicking in!!
I had so much fun with her! She is such a fun little friend these days! I just love our time together and I am giving thanks for such a happy and healthy 2 year old (baby) girl! This was one of the best days...
