Santa Came Early---Our Family Christmas

Santa has been very busy this week...there are just so many houses to go to that he had to come to ours a little early this year!  Fortunately, he told us he was coming so we were ready for him! :)
Claire was very excited about the cookies she was leaving out for Santa...almost a little too excited!
"Christmas morning" we woke up and we could see that Santa had come!  Claire immediately spotted her doll, "Lucy" in her stocking from all the way across the room.  She started pointing to it and was kicking her legs with excitement, so I carried her over to the stocking and she grabbed it right away.  It was the cutest thing ever.  I can't believe she found it so quickly and wanted it so badly.  Such a big girl these days, {sigh}.
My Grandmother got this beautiful table for Claire!  Thank you so much Grandmother!  She LOVES it!
It's a little big for her now, but I am sure she will grow into it in no time!  I foresee lots of fun crafts, tea parties and projects happening at this table!  I am so excited about it!
Claire got the hang of unwrapping pretty quickly and it was fun to see her finally be able to take off the bows and rip the paper without having to tell her, "not for Claire."
our Christmas in action...
These next photos are blurry, but you will get the idea.  Scroll down to watch as Claire stands on her own for the first time-with Dad right behind her ready to catch her if she falls, of course!!!  She is going to be walking sooner than we realize...

Claire was so much fun during her lunch!  She learned how to make a new face, which had Kevin and I laughing so much!
She thought it was so funny too!  We were all laughing together!  The more we laughed, the more she laughed and of course the more she laughed, the more we laughed and it went on and on from there!
After her tummy was good and full it was time to finish our gifts...
I love how she is amused with the simplest of things...
The aftermath of our Christmas...lots and lots of cardboard since we did all our shopping online this year.  Than you amazon!  It was a great Christmas...it definitely came too fast and happened too quick!  Claire's favorite present had to  be her fisher price clock...I'll get a picture of that soon!
Next up is Christmas with my family!

Go Claire! She'll be off and running before you know it!

Looks like y'all had fun! I'm thinking that would have been a good idea for us to do, too. I don't know how we're going to travel with all these gifts!

Somehow I missed your last few blog posts!!! Looks like y'all have been up to all kinds of fun lately! What a good idea to ask Santa to come early. We are going to Lubbock for Christmas and will be lugging all of Santa's gifts up there with us. But I may steal this idea in the future. It would make things easier and allow us to enjoy Santa time at home with just our little family!
Little Claire is so precious! Love that you captured pictures of her standing for the first time! We'll have to get together after the holidays. Merry Christmas!

I can't believe she is already starting to stand on her own! That's so exciting! A little sad too though!
