Yesterday was my 28th birthday!
We had yummy, delicious milk chocolate birthday cake! mmmmm!!
My parents came over to watch Claire so we could have a "night on the town".
We gave Claire a bath in the sink since we were getting ready to head out for dinner. So stinkin' cute!
Then once she was all tucked in bed, it was time for us to hit the town! :)
I just love all the Christmas festivities that happen around my birthday time! It's fun to share a birthday month with baby Jesus!
We indulged in the THE BEST Italian dinner of my life!!!! uhhhhh-mazing!!!!
And we finished off the night with a cupcake, of course...because there is no such thing as too much cake on your birthday, right?
Sunday was spent baking...literally baking ALL day! I love baking, so it was fun, but seriously I had no idea how long it would take to make Kevin's favorite childhood cookies that his Oma used to bake him every year.
They came out great, so it was worth the work fun!
By far, it was the best birthday yet since this was my first birthday as a new mommy!
Just for fun, here I am last year! Good Golly- I look like I am about to POP! It truly amazes me how much my body stretched during pregnancy...so glad Claire is here with us now and my belly is no longer quite so huge and uncomfortable!!
And a BIG THANK YOU to Nana and Opa for babysitting so we could go on our first date since Kevin's birthday in June!! We had a blast! Love you mom & dad!

We love you too! It was easy and we'll do it again so you can have more dates! We are really enjoying Claire as she responds to our directions with complete understanding now of what we are asking her to do! Amazing and such a joy to be with as she does new things almost every day!
