Christmas with My Parents

After our family Christmas on Saturday, we celebrated Christmas with my parents on Sunday!  It sure was fun having a baby in the family for Christmas this year.  It has been a very, very long time since we have had any little ones at our family Christmas!

My parents soaked up every minute they could with Claire.
My parents also celebrated their 34th Wedding Anniversary last weekend!  Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad!  What a testament to true love they are!

I love this picture.  It warms my heart to see the joy and love in their eyes for their precious grand daughter!
Our little family standing in front of the stockings my mom's mom made when I was a kid!  What a special keepsake to hang every year.
Daddy and Claire playing with the coo-coo clock that Claire got!  She LOVES it!
And her favorite toy at this Christmas gathering had to be the train!  What a hit!  It makes cool sounds and has little people that stack and bobble up and down when the train moves.  My dad loves trains, so it was the perfect gift for him to give Claire.  My mom gave her beautiful baby Stella, but I don't have any good pics of her with that one.  It is super cute though!  She loves it!
We gave my mom and dad a memory book of pictures of Claire!  It was fun to look at it all together.
My mom had her dining room all ready for a lovely dinner.  She is so good at entertaining and making things special!  Great job mom!  Everything was perfect and we had such a wonderful time!
She even used the place card holders from our wedding.  This is Claire's place card in the antique high chair that my dad's grandfather built!  It is such a neat piece of furniture to have today.  My dad used it and so did I and now it is Claire's turn.
 Our Christmas dinner!
Dinner was followed up with some homemade apple pie and a yummy chef mix recipe that we had been snacking on all day.

Thank you mom and dad for such a lovely Christmas!  It was just perfect.  We love you so much and cherish the memories that we made with you on this special day.  Thanks for all that you did to make it so special.  We love you and Merry Christmas!
