Our First Halloween as Homeowners!

This was our first year to finally be in a home and not an apartment for Halloween!  We were so excited to finally have trick-or-treaters!  Kevin and I just love all the fun things about Halloween!  It is so fun to see all the kids dressed up and smiling!  They were just precious when they came to our door.  We love to have our traditions and Halloween is no different!  Each year we always carve Jack-o-Lanterns together and then watch It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!  Take a look at our Jack-o-Lanterns this year!

We LOVE the awesome stems on these pumpkins!  They are called Wolf Pumpkins!
Kevin's is the one on the left and mine is on the right.  Here they are in the dark.

Kevin has started a new tradition this year that we are sure to continue!  We saved all the seeds from our pumpkins and roasted them!  DELICIOUS!  He came up with 3 flavors.  He made Sea Salt & Garlic, Lawry's Seasoned Salt, and Chipotle!  He already has a bunch of new flavors he wants to try next year!  How fun!

Yesterday I was reminded of one of the reasons why I love Kevin so much.  When I came home from the work, the first thing he told me was, "I am dressing up tonight!"  He was so excited and truly could not wait to put on his costume.  He is SUCH a kid at heart!  I just LOVE it!  He was all dressed in costume and ready for Trick-or-Treaters to come to our door by 4:30.  I thought it was so cute that he got ready SO early!  He said that he had to be ready when the first one comes to the door.  We didn't get any trick-or-treaters until about 6:45!  He is going to be such a great Dad one day!  I love how he always embraces everything about the holidays and makes it so much fun!  I love you Kevin!  Here he is dressed up as Obi-Wan from Star Wars!

All the little boys who came to our door were in amazement of Kevin's costume and lightsaber!  They would just stare at Kevin and then say, "Aw, COOOOL, it's OBI-WAN!!"  It was so fun!

We had a great Halloween!  I can't believe that today is the first day of November!  Christmas will be here before we know it.

In other news, we are just loving our house.  Lately, I have really been missing our family as well as living in Austin.  Since plans have changed with Kevin's former business partner I have questioned whether this is where we are supposed to be right now.  It has been difficult for us, but I do believe that we are here for a reason.  Our new plan is for Kevin to open a practice and build it up for 3-5 years or so and then sell it for a profit, sell our house and move back to Austin and start all over again there with another practice and a new house.  Until then though, one of the things I love most about living here is our backyard!  We are on a golf course which is so much fun in itself, but in addition to that we frequently see hot air balloons flying right over the golf course and there is a little airport for private planes just a mile down the road!  It is so fun to see all the unique 2 seater planes!  They are so fun to watch! Here are some pictures from last weekend in our backyard.

Your pumpkins are so cute! Great job! Kevin cracks me up in his costume. I can just see the eyes of those trick or treaters as they see his costume. And your back yard pics are so fun. What a great place to live.
