The Test is Over and We Are "Leaving On a Jet Plane"...

YAY!  HOORAY!  WOO-HOO!  CELEBRATE!   How many ways can I show how happy I am that Kevin's test is FINALLY over!  He has been dreading this for 6 months!  I feel like I can breathe again for the first time since he started going to Chiropractic College in 2005!  

The best part is not that it's over, it's that Kevin is already coming back to his old self again.  I know that sounds weird, but anyone who is married to someone or close to someone who has sacrificed so much for so long to get through years and years of school (or anything similar) knows exactly what I am talking about.  When we finished undergrad we knew the road ahead of us was long, exhausting and challenging, but we were excited.  For the past few years Kevin was always physically present, but mentally he was just on overload.  Today I feel like we have finally reached our destination!  Kevin feels so good about the test.  He actually said it was easy!  He studied so much and was so prepared.  I am sure that (along with all of your prayers of course) is why it seemed easy for him.  Last night he was so happy, he had me literally rolling on the floor laughing because he was being so funny!  I wish you could have been there!  It felt soooo good to see him and hear him that happy again.  It's as if an indescribable weight has been lifted off his shoulders.  I surprised him with a few helium balloons that said, "Congratulations" and "You Did It!"  as well as a delicious, cute little 5 inch chocolate cake, yum!

Thank you so much for your prayers and fabulous ideas of how you show your husband your love and encouragement!  I know that your prayers helped to provide him with the strength he needed to do well on his test. I truly enjoyed all of your ideas and I am going to keep using them!  

Now that this test is behind Kevin we are heading out of here soon and going to the mountains! I can not tell you how excited I am about this! Back in June, when Kevin found out the date he would be taking this test I researched and researched everything online until I found the perfect secluded cabin for us to get away from everything and reconnect and celebrate!

I can't wait to make a mug of hot chocolate and cuddle up with Kevin on the couch and watch some movies on the 10 foot projector screen!  How fun...we may never come back! :)

We are SO excited.  I can not even tell how much we are ready for this!

Get this...since we will be traveling around the holiday season and airlines are losing luggage more than ever before we are attempting to fit EVERYTHING in our carry-ons!  It was my idea, just to make things go smoother, but now I think I was crazy!  Trying to fit all of my stuff in the quart size bag is proving to be very difficult!  It's also tricky because we have to pack a lot of warm clothing that takes up a lot of space!  But I am determined we can do it!  I'll let you know once we get to that point!

Until then, we are counting down the days!
