This year Claire's excitement for the holidays is at an all time high! As soon as she saw the boxes of decorations were pulled down from the attic she was ready to decorate! I couldn't hold back either when we had a cold front blow in that brought temps down to the 30's and 40's so for the first time ever, we were fully decorated before Thanksgiving! I have to say it was wonderful! After Thanksgiving we came home and BAM- it was all Christmas---without the work and stress! Here's a few shots of my little elves the day we decorated.
I have to say that I am not happy with the quality of these pics...I am rusty and rushing always to try and get the shot before someone moves, or cries, or falls over which happens every time, so just enjoy them for what they are. One day I'll get better, one day.
Something about this angle and Clark sucking his thumb gets me everytime...it's so HIM!

It's all done! I don't like the picture above the mantle anymore...I took it at Beaver's Bend about 5 years ago, but I don't think it goes well with the holidays, but we are moving soon so I am just leaving it!
Finally, the mantle is complete! Almost 10 years ago I bought 5 stockings from Pottery Barn with hopes that one day we would have names on at least 4 of them, maybe 5. My heart is very content and my hands are full with our family of four, so this Christmas brings a feeling of completeness and happiness! Stocking #5 will remain in storage as a back up if anyone's stocking gets messed up! ;)
Happy Holidays from our family to yours!
