Lens Baby - Little Green Thumbs

Our Lens Baby playgroup planned a "Little Green Thumbs" meet up so our little ones could experience planting a flower and we could get some photos of them in action.

Here is Claire looking at me with her pot and gardening tools wondering what Mammy has planned for us today!

 Time to dig in the soil!  

This part was fun, although she did think that the shovel was a giant spoon and tried to taste the dirt!  Yikes!  Fortunately, she listened when I said, "No, no Claire- not for your mouth!"

 Getting the hang of it and putting the dirt in her little pot she picked out at Hobby Lobby.

 Now comes my favorite part...planting the flower...

 ...or not!  Claire did not like the idea of putting the flower IN the pot!  She thought it was much more fun to pull it out and play with it.  She was loving it!

 Why would she want to put it in there, when it is so much fun to play with? :)

 Holding the petals that she took off the flower...she doesn't know any better and couldn't be happier of her "accomplishment"!  She is excited that she "picked the flower"!  Oh Claire- you are too much! xoxo

This was an awesome experience and I loved seeing Claire learn some gardening skills, get her hands dirty and have fun in the process!    We had so much fun together.  I just LOVE these days with her!  It is truly the best chapter of my life so far and I'm pretty sure it will be hard to top!  This age is so much fun and she is soaking up everything!  I love seeing her learn and experience new things everyday!  What a gift it is to live life through her eyes!
