Last Saturday was officially 17 weeks! I am so excited to know that our little baby is growing inside of me. It is truly THE MOST AMAZING thing I have ever experienced. I must say that I LOVE being pregnant. I feel so happy and just in awe of the entire experience. I know some of you will think I am crazy for saying this...but in some ways I am actually just a little bit sad that my first pregnancy is almost half way over because there are only going to be so many times in my life that I get to be pregnant, and it is something I treasure more than words can say. Of course- on the other hand I can hardly wait for this baby to grow full term and join our family! I am so anxious to meet him or her and show them how much we love them and how grateful to God we are for His amazing blessing in our lives.

I love taking a weekly photo because until I see the photo, I honestly don't realize how much I have grown each week! When the above photo was taken I was looking at it and saying, "Noooo wayyyy???? I really look like that???? I had noooo idea! That is not what I see in the mirror!" But let me tell you- I could not be happier...I am not at all upset that my body is changing-that is what it is supposed to do! I have dreamed of this for years and years and I am just so grateful that our time has finally come!
Like many new moms to be I have been reading up on everything from childbirth to breastfeeding and baby's growth and development! Thank you to all of my friends and family who have loaned or given me such great books!
As you can see- we have read the Baby Names book from cover to cover and we think we have decided on a name for a girl and for a boy! As soon as we're 100% certain I will share them with you!
For quite a while, (okay so maybe for a few years) I have been stashing baby magazines and now I am pulling them all out for inspiration and ideas!
Waiting for the gender is sooo hard! I swear the month between my last appointment and the next one to find out the gender is the looooongest month ever!! Until then- we just keep dreaming of pink or blue! Don't forget to vote at the top of the blog if you think it's a boy or a girl!!

You look so cute with your baby bump! Soon you'll start feeling little baby kicks (if you haven't already). That's when it really gets fun! :) And by the way, I know what you mean about being a little sad that your pregnancy is almost halfway over. I feel like that sometimes too. Sometimes it seems like I'm always gonna be the pregnant lady, and then I realize that really nine months is such a short time in the grand scheme of things. You are wise to cherish the experience!
I loved reading your blog....I had a lot of catching up to do. It is SO cute! I am so happy for ya'll I can hardly stand it. Especially seeing how excited you are & all the joy that comes with being pregnant for the 1st time. You're doing exactly what I did...reading everything & getting SO prepared. I felt like I just coudlnt get enough information. Who knew there was so much to learn, but pretty soon you'll be an EXPERT! You look just glowing in your pregnancy....absolutely gorgeous!
