Sharing the News...Part 1

On our trip to Wisonsin I had a hunch I might be pregnant.  I was overwhelmed with being queasy, sensitive to smells and my boobs were killing me!  I think I might have even known a few days before we left, but I waited to test because I knew Kevin's birthday was just around the corner and I could not think of a better gift to give him than to tell him he was going to be a Father!!!!  I kept all my hunches to myself for about 5 days until we got back from our trip.  I woke up at 6:00 am on his birthday and took the test....HOLY MOLY...I could NOT believe it!!! It was positive!  I just couldn't believe it so I woke up Kevin and made up an excuse to go to Wal-Mart telling him that I forgot an ingredient for his birthday cake.  He was half-way asleep and had no idea what I was even talking about.  I jumped in my car with my hands trembling as I held the steering wheel and drove in disbelief to the closest store open at 6:00am, Wal-Mart!  I ran to the pregnancy test section and bought a pack of digital tests...I just had to see this in writing before I could believe it.  Knowing that it would most likely be true, I searched for something cute to give to Kevin so I could wrap up the tests with something to indicate that he was going to be a Daddy!  This is what I came up with!  I packed the tests on the bottom and put this bib on top!!!

At the early hour of about 7:00am I already had him out of bed ( I was so excited I could barely hold it in) and had him ready to open his birthday presents!  I told him he had to open the white box LAST!!!

He truly had no idea and was quite confused when he opened it?  I kept telling him it would be the best gift of his life that I just got it.  He thought I got it at Wal-Mart and was getting so confused before he even had the chance to open it.  When he finally opened it, he was thinking, "What is this?  Why is she giving me a bib?"

The he lifted it up and saw what was below it.  His reaction..."OH MY GOSH!!!! YOU'RE PREGNANT???????????  NO WAY!!!!!!!! YOUUUUUUU ARE PREGNANNNNNTTTTT?"  Sorry the picture is blurry, I was so excited I started jumping up and down!

He jumped up and gave the biggest hug.  It was one of the happiest moments of my life!  After 15 months of trying and never being pregnant and a doctor suggesting clomid at one point, I think we had both began to wonder if I ever could get pregnant!  What an answered prayer!  Thank you GOD!!!

We celebrated by using one of Kev's b-day presents, Star Wars Pancake Molds!  YUM!

The shock lasted all day.  I just couldn't believe we were going to actually have a baby!!!!  Later we celebrated again with a homemade birthday cake for Kevin!
