It's a Blogging Frenzy!!

Okay, I know this is my second post in one day, but I have really been wanting to post these pictures so here we go!  This was before we got our new digital SLR, so some of the pictures aren't great, but oh well!

Two weeks ago today Kevin crossed the stage and graduated from Parker College of Chiropractic with his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree!  He has completed seven years of college to get here and I could not be more proud of him.  He has shown such determination, focus and strength to make it through all the difficult days and challenges along the way.  I remember moving to Dallas three years ago for Kevin to start Chiropractic College and his graduation seemed decades away.  I can not believe it finally came!  Here are some pictures of his special day!

This is what the graduation stage looked like!

Here is a video clip of him crossing the stage!

Here we are after he crossed the stage!

From there, the whole family went to Babe's Chicken Dinner House in Frisco!

What a wonderful time we had!  The food was fabulous, the waitresses were singing on the microphone, the kids got up and did the hokey pokey and we had a great time!  Here's a picture of the whole family.  My parents couldn't make it since they are in New Mexico for the summer and we missed Kevin's Grandmother because she was sick, but we were thinking about you guys!
From there we all headed back to our house for Graduation Cake and a Champagne Toast!  It was so nice to spend time with Kevin's family!  We have not seen them since our wedding four years ago!  Sorry about the poor lighting in this picture...wish we had our SLR then!
If you know me, then you know how much I love to plan parties and that it is all in the details!  So here are some pics of the little things that made the day special!  Thank you for the beautiful flowers Mom & Dad!

The cake was delicious!!

I am so excited about how the napkins came out!
These are the party favors...get it "Crunch" bars!!  That was Kevin's idea!

We were so blessed to have unbelievable weather!  It was the middle of August and we spent most of the afternoon in the backyard enjoying a cool breeze!  Unbelievable!  Bindi had a blast with all of Kevin's younger cousins!  She is great with kids and is going to have a blast when we have our own someday!

Bindi had so much fun playing with the kids all day!  She slept for about 24 hours straight after everyone left!

Here is Kevin's mom with his little cousin!  What a great picture of them!  You look great Marcie! :)
I loved seeing everyone enjoy the backyard!  It was so nice to have so much family visiting us at our home!
Looking back, I remember when we were 18 years old and we were sitting in the waiting room at our Chiropractor's office. I looked at Kevin and said, "You know, you would be a great chiropractor!"
Here we are seven years later and he did it!  There were days when I saw Kevin study until he could not even walk straight, days where he was so overwhelmed that it was difficult to talk to him,  days where I just wanted to cry, days where I prayed harder than I ever had before, days where I questioned "why", but everyday I knew that this is what Kevin was meant to do.  It has not been easy.  It has been a huge test for us along the way, but we have come out stronger than before and closer to God because of it.  I am so proud of Kevin for sticking to it and getting where he is today.  I know that he will help so many people and that he will make such a difference in their lives!

Now we begin the next chapter of our lives as he locates the perfect place to set up his practice!  Stay tuned for details on that in future posts!

Oh, one more picture of the doctor in action!  Here is Kevin giving his mom an adjustment!  This was taken about two years ago when he had just learned to adjust!  WAY TO GO KEVIN!! WE ARE  ALL SO PROUD OF YOU!
