Today was Meet the Teacher for Claire's preschool. I could not believe it. We were actually going to meet HER teacher...how is that possible?
Anyway, we are so excited about this preschool program and this school year!
The school was buzzing with excitement when we arrived and there was such a great feeling in the air!
Just look at this cute little photo set up they had at the entrance! I LOVED it! How sweet...
We quickly found Claire's classroom and met her very first teacher....Mrs. Melissa!
And the assistant teacher in her classroom, Mrs. Pam!
They are both so energetic and sweet and excited for the school year. She is going to be in good hands! They will be studying a thematic unit each week in addition to certain colors, letters, numbers, shapes and bible verses. Her daily schedule consists of circle time, chapel, indoor playground, Romp (PE), Story time, Spanish/Music, lunch, centers, nap, and snack. Her teachers said they will be doing an arts and crafts project every day! Claire is going to LOVE that! They have so many special days planned throughout the year. It is going to be so much fun to experience these days with her and see her learn and grow.
The day before "Meet the Teacher" Claire and I baked chocolate chip cookies to give her teachers as well as other special people at school! She was so excited to pass them out. Here she is waiting for her turn to give them to her new teacher!
It was so much fun to put them in mason jars and tie a bow around them in Claire's favorite color, dark pink!
After we met her classroom teachers we went around and met all of her other teachers for music, chapel and ROMP (PE).
She enjoyed an impromptu 20 minute stop to play at the indoor play area!
While she was playing I noticed this sign that one of the teachers had out...soooo true, isn't it?
I am so grateful to know that Claire is starting her first day of preschool in such a loving, caring and christian environment. Everyone here greets you with the warmest hugs and the brightest smiles and as soon as we arrived the assistant director remembered Claire and greeted her by name! I feel so blessed to have found such a wonderful school and we are looking forward to an amazing year!
Good luck baby girl!
I have her backpack, lunchbox and nap mat all set out for her first day. I am setting my alarm and waking up early to ensure we have a great morning. Daddy is going in an hour late so he can be with us to walk her into her classroom and give her hugs and kisses on her very first day of school and wish her well. I can't believe we are here. It sure did come fast.
