Zoo Day

We wanted to plan one last "special" day as a family of 3 so we gave Claire a choice of going to the zoo or the arboretum to see the pretty flowers and she chose the Zoo right away!

We decided to give the Dallas Zoo a try and we loved it!  We couldn't believe how close we got to the giraffes!  You could literally pet them and feed them!  We wanted to feed them, but they weren't hungry so we just watched instead.  

We started the day off with Claire's favorite breakfast...pancakes!

We ate lunch in a restaurant overlooking the lions!  We were just a few feet away from them!  It was amazing!  These pics were taken through the glass window in the restaurant...

Claire's FAVORITE PART OF THE WHOLE DAY...riding the carousel!  She saw it as soon as we got there and talked about it the entire time!  Who needs to see animals when you can ride a carousel? haha

HAPPY GIRL!

She had everyone laughing when she kept striking this pose to everyone who walked past her.  Earlier she saw a teenager pose like this and imitated her all day!  It was hilarious!  What a little ham!

These are what we call her "shopping arms" or her "mall walk"!  When she gets really excited to shop (at the mall) she puts her arms up and walks really, really fast like a mall walker!  It is the funniest thing I have ever seen!  You should see her plow through the crowds at the mall!  Watch out world, here comes Claire!
