Claire at 18 Months

Claire turned 18 months nearly two weeks ago!  18 months sure is a fun  age!  Since I have been taking a little blog break to learn Lightroom and gets lots of projects accomplished around the house, this post will be loaded with pics!

Dear Claire,

At 18 months old you are full of energy, lots of words, you can run, throw a ball, dance, spin, and you always keep us on our toes!

You LOVE to play dress up and the more necklaces, purses and babies you have the better!  "More is Better" must be your motto!  

You definitely have your hands full...

You are a pro at using a fork and spoon, although this day you thought it would be funny to have two spoons and you had a good time making a bit of a mess!

You are always on the go and enjoy bringing out lots of toys.  Sometimes you sit still for a while, but not often.

You absolutely LOVE your babies and take them everywhere with you.  I need to get pics of you with them, but trust me, they are part of the family now!  You insist on taking one with you everytime we leave the house and you take it into all the stores with us and hold the baby in your arms in the grocery carts.  You are also really into swaddling the baby and doing diaper changes...lots and lots of diaper changes!  Sometimes you sit down on the floor and put a baby in your lap to read them a story, just like we have always done with you...it melts our hearts to see you do that!

You have so many words now and you repeat everything we say.  Your most common word lately is "help".  You always have a big plan in mind and if things don't go smoothly you are sure to let us know that help is needed right away!  At your 18 month check up the doctor asked me if you had about 20-30 words...I replied with "Yes, way more than that..I can't even count how many!"  You are a talker these days!

You are a great eater and will eat almost anything we eat these days!  Your favorites are mac-n-cheese, yogurt, squash, steamed carrots, peas, bananas, strawberries, blueberries and chicken.

You take one nap a day from about 1:15-2:45.  You eat dinner at 6:00, bath at 6:30, story and prayers with Daddy at 6:45 and in bed at 7:00.  Sometimes we run a little late and you can make it to 7:15 now!  You usually wake up between 6:45 and 7:00am.

You are a big girl and love to carry around your phone and call your grandparents!  Poor Bindi is wearing her cone in the background :(

You have a wonderful imagination and it amazes us to see all of the ideas you come up with.  You are very inquisitive and want to know how everything works.  You are also very particular about where things go and how you want them to be done.  If something is messy, you will ask for a paper towel to clean it up!  

We love you sweet Claire and every day with you is SUCH a gift.  We are so very thankful to be your parents and experience the joy and love that we have found in raising you!  We love you Claire!
