We went to our hometown 4th of July Parade this morning with my parents and it was so much fun! Claire had a blast and LOVED seeing the horses and motorcycles!
Claire may have had the best view in town on either her Daddy's shoulders or her Opa's shoulders! She sure is blessed to have these wonderful men in her life!
Before the parade started Claire wanted to shop, shop, shop at all the stores! My mom was amazed by how much she loves to go into the stores and look (and try to touch) everything! She did a good job of keeping us busy while we waited for the parade to begin. :)
During the parade a photographer from The Dallas Morning News came over to me and asked me if he could photograph Claire on her Daddy's shoulders. I said sure and then had to give him our names, Claire's age, hometown and phone number! I'll have to check the paper tomorrow to see if any of the shots he took will be used! I will definitely want to add that to her baby book!
After the parade was over we walked around a little and took a peek into some of our favorite stores on the square!
We just LOVE our downtown square and all the family events they plan. We had a great time and we're thankful for the special memories we made as a family today. Happy 4th of July and thank you to all the brave men in women that are serving our country!

Super, super cute, Kelly! Did the paper use the pic of Claire? I'm sure you had lots of changing light, but all of these look so beautifully exposed. Love them all!
