Mother's Day 2012

It has been such a great Mother's Day and it's not even over yet!  We had so much fun this morning.  Kevin cooked my favorite breakfast...ham and cheese omelets!  After eating, we took some family pics outside.  While setting up the tripod and remembering how to use the timer and set the menus, I somehow totally forgot to adjust the ISO on my camera and shot all these outdoor pics in 1600 ISO...so they are super grainy and the colors look bad!  Soooo sad!  I forgot I had it set for inside.  Bummer- but oh well!  Here we are this year and last year just to show how much Claire has grown!!

 We met my parents at the Nature Preserve which was soooo beautiful!  There were so many wildflowers in bloom and butterflies everywhere!  Claire doesn't look thrilled in this picture, but I promise she had a blast!  It was at this point I realized my ISO issue and corrected it, thank goodness!!!

 We made it...it was bright and sunny up there!

 After all that walking we built up quite an appetite.  In an effort to avoid Mother's Day crowds we decided to head over to Smash Burger thinking it wouldn't be as busy as our other choice which was La Madeline.  It was soooo good, and just as expected...no lines at all!  I bet this place will be busy on Father's Day though, haha!

 And you can't miss their Haagen Dazs shakes!!  DELICIOUS!!!

After lunch we headed home for naps and I am editing photos---after Buddy woke me up from my nap with a HUGE, loud meow--- thanks Buddy! :)  Anyhow, everyone is waking up now so I am off to spend the afternoon with the fam!!!  So glad there is still more Mother's Day to enjoy!
