Love brings us together in times of happiness and in times of sadness.
The only thing we can always take with us is the love of our friends and family.
A couple of weeks ago our family came together to share love and support in the midst of a difficult time. I was amazed that even those suffering the most could smile that day. They smiled because they were surrounded by love, by family, and by the presence of God.
Claire and I made the trip with my parents. As my Uncle Tom so beautifully said, our life on earth is short, but while we are here the Lord blesses us with gifts from above. For us, that gift is Claire. Her innocence, joy and spirit reminded us of this that day as she unknowingly offered hope and happiness those around her.
The sun was shining, the sky was blue, a gentle breeze was in the air and we could all feel the peace that the Lord was comforting us with.

It's days like this that remind us to stop for a moment and just be grateful and give thanks for the LOVE that God has given us.
