Thanksgiving Memories 2011

This year we traveled to Austin for Thanksgiving and spent it with my husband's side of the family!  Our ride down went really well.  Being that we left on the busiest travel day of the year, we decided to take the backroads and although it took us a little over 6 hours including stops for our lunch, nursing Claire twice and 4 blowout diapers, overall it was a success!

After Claire went to bed the family made a homemade apple pie together...it was everything in me not to cut a slice that night!  It smelled so good!

  

The next morning we had breakfast...

and then we watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!! 

Claire really liked it and was clapping and waving at all the people and floats on TV!

She enjoyed watching the parade on my shoulders, although getting her off was always a challenge!  She loves to grab her mama's hair!

Later that afternoon it was time for Thanksgiving Dinner!

After that, we took Grandpa's golf cart out for a spin!!!  Fun times!

 such a great dad - always trying to get Claire to smile for the camera!  I sure do love him- Claire and I are lucky girls!

We had a great Thanksgiving this year!  There are SO MANY things to be thankful for!
