Claire's First Halloween!

Last weekend we had my parents over for a Pumpkin Carving Party!  Claire joined in the fun by wearing her jack-o-lantern Halloween costume!
I made an apple dip with cream cheese, brown sugar and vanilla!  Yum, yum!  For dinner I cooked  beef stew (Paula Deen's recipe with a little twist, LOVED it!) with southern biscuits and my mom brought her homemade pumpkin pie!
Opa loving on Claire!
Nana & Opa used the laptop to get inspiration and ideas for their jack-o-lantern.  Claire was very amused by all of this.
Time to get to work!

Nana takes a break to swing Claire while Opa finished the carving.

All done!  My parents pumpkin is on the left.  Ours is on the right...it has one tooth- just like Claire- in the same place and everything!
Claire's first Halloween came and went so fast!  By the time Kevin got home from work it was almost Claire's bedtime, so we didn't do too much last night.  Too bad Halloween isn't always on a weekend.  Oh well- it's hard to believe we're only 8 weeks away from Christmas!!

What a cute little pumpkin you have! I just wanna squeeze her cheeks! Isn't Halloween a zillion times more fun now that you have a baby to celebrate with?
