First Father's Day!

We had a great time celebrating Kevin's 1st Father's Day!  We woke up and and relaxed. It was a nice low-key day just being together as a family.  Claire hung out with her Daddy just cuddling together and having fun!  Claire's onesie says, "I'm Nuts About Daddy!"

Around 7:30 am (yes, Claire wakes up nice and early) we headed outside to have some fun before it got too hot!  Summer is killer in Texas!  It's usually nice in the shade before 9:00am though!  Kevin and Claire played with the remote control car!  

Claire loved watching it go back and forth and around and around!  She was soooo amused!

We opened cards and presents...

Claire gave her Daddy a collection of special books they can read together.  You can see which one is her favorite!  She loved that book and kept reaching for it!

She can hardly wait to begin reading it...or chewing on it... one or the other! LOL

I love that she is so interested in everything around her now.  

She is always reaching and grabbing for everything in her reach and even beyond!

 

 My parents came over in the afternoon and offered to grill steaks for all of us!  I can't believe how hot and windy it was, but the steaks came out great!  Thanks Dad for grilling for us!  I should have taken a picture of everyone, but we were all having so much fun with Claire we didn't think of it.

Here was our delicious Father's Day Dinner!

I am so grateful for my amazing Dad, my fantastic father-in-law and nothing brings my heart more joy than to see what an awesome dad Kevin is to our precious baby Claire!  I am so grateful for these blessings in life!  God is GOOD!
