Birthday, A Celebrity, Construction Progress, Family!

For my birthday Kevin and I enjoyed a FREE pizza from Grimaldi's Pizzeria in Watters Creek! Yup, that's right! If you join their email list they send you a coupon for a free large pizza the week of your birthday! You can't be that! It was delicious!
I also had the opportunity to meet Gary Fong!!! If you are a photographer then you know what a HUGE deal that is! He is a celebrity in the photography world! I was SO pumped! He was doing a book signing tour and stopped at a camera store in Plano! I was expecting to have to fight the crowds to see him, but we totally lucked out that it was so early in the morning a lot of people could not come and we ended up spending about 45 minutes with him, one-on-one! He explained all of his amazing products and even let Kevin and I use his camera to test out some of his latest inventions! IT was SO cool! Sorry for the poor picture quality...I did not have my digital SLR!
In other news, the construction of the new location for Watters Creek Chiropractic is in it's final weeks! We have had a blast and sometimes a HUGE headache picking EVERYTHING out!

TILES...we considered this, but later changed our minds. We are going with slate instead!
There are soooooooooooooooo many choices....
We also had to pick out wood floors...
We are going with a chestnut brown bamboo because it is better for the environment and we are a "green" practice and it was also better for our budget, which is a very good thing!
You'll have to wait to see which one we picked!!! It should be installed soon!

We also had to pick granite! That was one of the most difficult things to choose. The samples are soooo small and I really couldn't find exactly what I was imagining, but this was what we ended up deciding on!

Next it was time to choose the paint!
Another overwhelming task! We wanted just a plain gray, but we knew that would be harder than it sounds because we tried to paint a plain gray in our house and it came out more blue than gray. So, this time we narrowed it down to 4 choices and painted them on the walls in the practice!
Here's a little tour of the new practice!

This is what you see when you walk in. This is the waiting room and beyond that is the Chiropractic Assistant or Office Manager area for patients to check in.

This is a closer view of what will be my area! The patient check in counter! I LOVE it now! This picture was actually taken before we had them change it. It looks much different now. We had to ask them redo it several times until the angles and shape was just right!

A different angle. This is what it looks like as you are leaving the treatment rooms as you come to check out and schedule your next appointment. Imagine me sitting behind it! LOL
You can't really tell what this is from the picture, but this is the hallway to the doctor's office, zen rooms, treatments rooms, massage therapy room and restroom.
This is the outside of the building!

This is what it looks like from the street.
In other news, we spent the weekend in Austin visiting all of Kevin's extended family! It's kind of like a BIG reunion every year! It was so much fun to see his Granny and all of his aunts, uncles and cousins! I feel SO blessed to have married into such a wonderful family! They are so loving, so warm and so welcoming.
Kevin's Granny looked stunning! Isn't she beautiful! I love her so much!
Here's a few more pics to sum up our fun times with everyone! We love you Gonzalez Family and we can't wait to do it again next year!
WOW- that was a lot of pictures!

I also had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday with my mom & dad! I don't have any pictures to post of that, but I think my dad has a few he might send me later! Thanks mom and dad for a wonderful birthday! Another thank you to my in-laws and extended family who also remembered it was my birthday during this busy time of year! I had so much fun sharing that day with all of you! Thank you for making it so special!

Christmas is only 9 days away!!! WOO-HOO!

So good to see you guys for a minute tonight! Love all the pics on this post. The "tour" of your new office is especially great. The granite you picked is really pretty! And the outside of your complex is truly gorgeous! Can't wait to see the finished product!

Love the updates on the new building! Paint is sooooo difficult to pick out! It is my least favorite thing to do because I always get it wrong and end up going to the paint store dozens of times. Glad you had a wonderful birthday!
