Pumpkins at the Arboretum

Excited to use our annual arboretum membership for the first time since we purchased it 11 months ago and knowing it would expire the end of the month, Kevin took a day off and we journeyed out on the hour drive to the arboretum.  From the beginning it just wasn't going well.  Clark was unusually fussy and as it turned out he was coming down with a virus.  Poor little guy had a 101 degree fever when we got home.  The weather was extremely humid and my jeans were sticking to me like glue.  It was not quite the fall day we had hoped for by any means.  There were lots of meltdowns and if you walked by us you most likely saw me holding Clark and my camera, Kevin holding Claire who was whining and just you know...being 2 while one of us was attempting to push the massive double stroller with one hand that mainly served as a cart for all of our junk since neither of the kids were very happy to be in it.    We may or may not have received several looks of pity from strangers as they passed by us.  'Needless to say, we got in, we snapped some pics, we ate some lunch and we were on our way back home!  Hopefully next year will go better!  I sure hope so because this is one of my favorite things, but each time we have gone it's been a flop!  I did manage to get some cute pics somehow though!  Here is our day in pictures...
