Our Little Dorothy

This year Claire chose her own Halloween costume and I have to say that I just love what she chose.  We had looked at Target when we were there and she didn't seem set on anything so I wasn't sure she was old enough to choose her own yet.  Then a friend suggested we take a look at a local resale shop for kids that was having a big Halloween Costume Sale!  I am so glad we went!  We found this Dorothy Dress for $7!!  What a steal and I swear I don't think it was ever worn!  We did have to buy the shoes, but I am still thrilled about the price we got!

When Claire chose this costume it must have just been because she liked the dress.  She has never seen the Wizard of Oz so once we got the costume we started showing her clips of the movie on YouTube and before we knew it she was asking for the Yellow Brick Road clip 20 or 30 times a day and was becoming obsessed with her "Dorothy Shoes".  Needless to say, by the time Halloween rolled around she was thrilled to wear the full costume!

I took her out the day before Halloween to get some pics of her as Dorothy!  She loved it!  She carried her Bindi dog in her basket, but called her Toto the whole time!  Adorable!
