Just a quick update...we have reached full term! We are now 37 weeks and 2 days! What a relief...if you go into labor before 37 weeks the birthing center will not allow you to birth there, so we worked very hard to make sure I made it to 37 weeks! Kevin had me on "chair rest" at work. He wanted to make sure I didn't over do it, so he did almost everything, while I just checked people in, took payments and answered the phone. He has been so great through all of this and taken such good care of me.
This week marks my last week working in the office. Starting next week I will be working from home doing all the "fun" things like accounting, payroll, inventory, etc. I am glad I can do all these things from home so that I can be with baby Claire when she arrives. Our new employee, Tori will take over the role of Patient Care Coordinator and work full time in the office greeting patients, assisting with therapies, scheduling, payments, insurance verification, etc.
Well- here I am- my last week in the office- 37 weeks and feeling HUGE! I am shocked when I see this picture...no wonder I can hardly sleep at night! LOL
Last week the midwife said I was 1 cm dilated and that baby Claire was head down and ready to go! She said to be ready anytime between now and our due date- Feb. 5th.
Of course we will welcome baby Claire at anytime, but we are hoping I can finish this week of work and have at least Mon-Wed of next week to get things prepared around the house and get some rest before the labor! We'll see what happens! I am so excited and truly can't believe how fast this pregnancy has flown by. I am consumed with all kinds of emotions; but I will have to save all that for another post!
