I can't believe my last blog post was Oct. 31st! I don't think time has ever flown by soooo fast! We have been busier than I can even describe! Between installing, implementing and being trained on new software at work, accepting insurance, getting in-network with insurance and learning how to bill out, 4 hours of natural child birthing classes on Sundays, hiring a new employee to replace me at work and trying to figure out how payroll and all the laws surrounding it work, the holiday hustle and bustle, and oh did I mention getting ready for Claire's arrival in 9 weeks (or less) we truly have not had a moment to catch our breath! I had a neighbor ask me if we even still lived in our house anymore!
Here are a few moments from November that were definitely days to remember!! We finally have the perfect pink paint on the walls of Claire's room!
Then the following weekend her furniture was delivered! We are so thankful to Kevin's parents who bought this for Claire! Kevin has already changed the knobs on the dresser to pink glass knobs! You'll have to wait and see that in another post! The crib was on backorder but will be here in a couple of weeks.
My Grandmother got Claire the stroller we registered for! Here is Kevin assembling it, with Bindi's help of of course!
November 20th was Claire's baby shower! My parents and Kevin's mom came to stay with us for the weekend! It was so much fun! We all made a homemade apple pie from scratch together! It was delicious!
Dad could hardly wait to dig in! Pie is his absolute favorite!
The morning of the shower we had a family brunch together!
Then all the ladies headed over to my friend Laura's house for Claire's baby shower!
I was so overwhelmed by everyone's generosity!
Everything looked so cute!
My friends Kyla (due in March), Laura (also due in March) and Kathy hosted the shower! I am so thankful to them! They worked so hard to make everything so special. I feel truly blessed to have such amazing friends.
At the shower we played a few games and Lauren won the game where we measured my waist! She was right on....unlike many others who guessed way toooo much! LOL
Erin won the quiz about me and knew almost all of my pregnancy symptoms and cravings, which makes sense since we work together almost everyday!
I was overwhelmed by all the gifts! I was so excited that we got a lot of the necessities that we really needed as well as some beautiful handmade and monogrammed items that we will always treasure!
A few days after the shower we headed to Austin for Thanksgiving. Here we are just after eating the big feast! 30 weeks along!
December has been just as busy, if not even busier than November.
We've got interviews lined up this week to find a replacement for me at work. It is so much to trust someone with, but I know that God has the right person and in his timing we will find them. I'll try to keep this better updated as we go through December!!
