I just wanted to take a moment to honor my wonderful Aunt Bobbi. She has been through a lot in the past is not only an amazing mom to her two children (my cousins-who are grown up and have their own kids now), a fabulous Nana (to two very precious little baby boys) , and an awesome aunt (to me and several others) , she is also a
breast cancer survivor!
Her strength has ALWAYS amazed me! I honestly do not know if I could face life with the same courage, strength and optimism that she always has if I were in her shoes and for that I have a tremendous amount of respect for her and she holds a very special place in my heart. She is an amazing woman. Here is a recent picture of my aunt Bobbi with her daughter (my cousin), Amity and Amity's precious little boy! I love seeing 3 generations here!

I recently found out that one of my life long friends's mother-in-law, Debbie has been diagnosed with breast cancer. A few weeks ago I received an email saying that she is currently at MD Anderson in Houston Texas undergoing testing to see how far it has spread. At that point they knew that it was IDC Stage 2 with HER2 cells within it.
My friend's husband, Steve has been working super hard on a project for his mom to get her story out there to inspire any other women who might be suffering from the same disease. He also has created it to help raise money for his mom because she has no health insurance and will have extremely high medical costs. As children they are trying to do what they can to help. The site is called, "A Dollar for Debbie." The idea is to ask people to just donate one dollar upon visiting the site. The goal is to get 100,000 visitors to the website to donate 1 dollar. 10% will be donated to MD Anderson and 90% will be donated to fund Debbie's bills. Anything left over will be given to fund breast cancer research or to someone else in need for treatment with no health insurance as well. Nobody else gets a cent, that's the idea, very simple. Please don't feel obligated to give but if you could at least pass it on so that we can reach as many people possible that would be greatly appreciated.
The website is www.dollar4debbie.com
Please go and check it out. I spent some time on the website today and found it so empowering to see her strength and courage as she documents the details of this very difficult journey. I just felt compelled to share it with others as a source of inspiration, in case you wanted to pass it on or felt that you could donate in her cause.
Here is a picture of my friend Sherese and her husband Steve from their wedding back in 2003!
Please keep Debbie in your prayers and feel free to pass on the information to her site if you would like to!

2 Sweet Thoughts:
I just found out a few days ago about a friend of mine whose mother was just diagnosed. I can't imagine how they must be feeling. I will definitely keep them in my thoughts. Please send our love and concern for their family Kelly.
Kelly you are amazing! What a dear and true friend you are. I am humbled and just so grateful for your friendship and loyalty even though we haven't seen each other in years! Thank you so much for your support and love for our family, may God bless you and Kevin always for being so kind and generous. Steve really appreciates your support as well and his mom is just in tears for how kind people are being. I miss my Kelly!-Sherese
p.s. That picture from my wedding is great! I've never seen it and was shocked when I scrolled down and bam there we are! Thanks again:)
