Laying the Foundation

In all so many aspects of our life right now, we are laying the foundation...

Physically we are very committed to eating healthy and exercising to achieve overall health! After months of effort and weeks of complete dedication the results are finally starting to pay off! I have lost about 4 inches in my waist and 12 pounds! There is still more to lose though, so I am not celebrating yet!

From a business aspect they are LITERALLY about to pour the actual foundation on our future location! We expect to move in sometime around mid-November, early December. Until then, we are working out of an office in Watters Creek.

From a marketing standpoint, I feel like we are out there stomping the pavement as we run all over town for various events and meetings trying to get our name out there! Every week our calendar is loaded with various Chamber events, Rotary Club, networking opportunities, etc.

Every Tuesday morning at 7:30a.m. we meet with about 60 other small business owners for networking at Tuesday Morning Live!

I am very excited that the Allen Chamber has asked me to be the "Business in the Spotlight" for the month of September! I have to do a big presentation for the Women's luncheon! I will be very busy preparing my presentation for that! I have never been to one of these events, so I have no idea what to expect!
As far as advertising goes we are trying to decide the best place to put our money! My goodness, advertising can cost an arm and a leg! So far we plan to advertise with the following local businesses, magazines and community/neighborhood newspapers!

As we travel through these new adventures we are so thankful that the Lord has given us this opportunity. While it certainly isn't easy, it is very rewarding. Your prayers for our business to grow would mean so very much to us. They say that only 1 out of 5 small businesses make it, so we are hopeful that we will be the 1 that does! Thank you so much for your support!

I can tell you guys are working so hard on this business and I have complete faith that it will make it. You will be a wonderful presenter at the woman's luncheon. And I am so proud of you on eating/living healthy. That is an accomplishment, celebrate! ;-)

Sounds to me like you have a lot to celebrate and be thankful for! I'm sure the future seems overwhelming, but just take it one day at a time. :)
